DESIGN
ENGINEER
MONOLYTH Z-RO — building interfaces and the systems underneath them. Graphic design instincts, software engineering discipline.
Services Matrix
What this studio actually builds, end to end — not a menu of buzzwords, a map of the work itself.
Custom Web Applications
Full-stack, typed, production-grade builds — dashboards, client portals, and internal tools built to be maintained, not just shipped.
e.g. a paper-trading terminal with live order books and portfolio state
3D & WebGL Experiences
Three.js and React Three Fiber scenes — particle fields, shader work, and real-time interactivity that stays smooth under real traffic.
e.g. a persistent, cursor-reactive background running behind live UI
Scroll-Driven Storytelling
Scroll-linked motion, parallax, and pinned sequences that turn a static page into a sequence the visitor drives themselves.
e.g. camera dolly and depth-of-field tied directly to scroll progress
Motion & Micro-interactions
Framer Motion detail work — hover states, transitions, and feedback tuned until the interface feels alive instead of decorated.
e.g. magnetic CTAs, shared-layout filters, cinematic route transitions
Design Systems & UI Architecture
Tokens, component libraries, and layout patterns built to scale past a single page without the visual language drifting.
e.g. one token set driving color, type, and motion across every route
Performance Engineering
Render-cost audits, animation profiling, and Core Web Vitals treated as a first-class deliverable — not a post-launch afterthought.
e.g. tracing a scroll-time stutter to one repainting CSS property
Interactive Showcase Grid
Seven distinct design languages, one studio behind all of them. Each card below is headed for its own standalone build and live deployment.
Neumorphism
Interfaces that read as physical, not printed — dual-shadow surfaces that push and pull light from a single source, so every button looks pressable before it's touched. Best for calm, single-purpose tools: settings panels, controllers, dashboards that should feel quiet.
Glassmorphism
Translucent panels over a moving, colorful backdrop — the same language this studio already builds in daily. Layered blur and thin light borders give hierarchy without hard edges, ideal for dashboards and product UI that need to feel premium without feeling heavy.
Minimalism
One typeface, one accent, and enough negative space that every remaining mark has to earn its place. Built for editorial sites, portfolios, and product pages where the content — not the chrome — is the entire pitch.
Maximalism
Clashing color, overlapping type, and pattern stacked on pattern — chaotic only until you notice everything is on a grid. Built for brands, drops, and campaigns that need to feel loud, current, and impossible to scroll past.
Neo-Brutalism
Hard edges, stacked monospace type, and shadows with no blur — structure exposed instead of styled over. Best for developer tools, manifestos, and portfolios that want to read as unmistakably handmade and confident.
Liquid Glass
A living surface — blurred glass that bends light and reshapes itself around content, closer to a material than a panel. Built for flagship product launches and app showcases that want to feel a full generation ahead.
Spatial UI
Panels held at real depth instead of stacked in z-index — parallax and perspective doing the work flat layout can't. Built for showcase sites and spatial-computing-adjacent products where depth is the actual feature.
Selected Projects
Aspect Plumbing & Heating
Next.js marketing site for a Dublin-area plumbing & heating business.
Electricians 24/7
Static, zero-dependency site for a Dublin 24-hour electrician, built for fast loads on mobile connections.
Void Arcade
A scroll-driven, WebGL-backed arcade: six fully playable browser games behind a persistent, cursor- and scroll-reactive Three.js background.
Meridian
A simulated paper-trading terminal — live order book, portfolio, and trade execution UI over a cursor- and scroll-reactive 3D instrument background.
